Gadwal fort
It is of great importance to mention here that once Gadwal was considered as a state and it was ruled by Sri Somashekar Ananda Reddy, who has built a fort to protect his state. The very fort is now in ruins without any maintenance and one can see only a portion of the fort adjacent to the Jamla Devi temple is being maintained and everything else are in depleted condition. Even the statue of the ruler is in a very bad condition and is broken, which is utter disrespect to the historic person. Immediately the government of Andhra Pradesh has to take corrective steps to restore the past golden period of Gadwal.
